I have recently joined Bzzagent and have gotten my first campaign to review. They send you products for free! In exchange I review the products! I am so excited to use the new Loreal Revitalift products they have sent me! So far I have used them all one time. They are good quality and I am looking forward to making a more indepth review after I have used them for a few weeks!

Settling in
We are now settled into our new townhouse. It is an ADA house even though the only disability is my deafness. We do not qualify for this house but it was the only 4 bedroom available on post. We are slowly weeding through our things, as we have gone from a 3000 sqft house to a 1600 sqft house! We have TOO much stuff! Colorado is beautiful. There is so much to see and do here. The only issue I am coming across is the fact that there are daily sirens to warn us of severe weather. I cannot hear these sirens nor the voice after them that tells what the severe weather is. Thankfully my children are home 99% of the time and they can hear what is being said. The weather channel updates to my phone are not the same as the local sirens so that doesn't help me so much. I also cannot hear our doorbell if my hearing aids are not in, and I can barely hear it when they are in. This is going to be an interesting duty station for my ears to say the least.

I can't hear you
About a year ago took a hearing test. It showed mild hearing loss. No big deal right? At 33 years old I had had countless ear infections, and my ear drums had ruptured at least 2 times a year for the last decade (but the issue started when I was two years old.) Flash forward six months later and that mild hearing loss in both ears was now moderate-severe in my right ear and still mild in the left. This meant that insurance would now pay for me to get a hearing aid. I was 34 years old.
In December of 2015 my ENT replaced my Right ear drum in hopes that it would stop rupturing so much. I had my first ear infection in after the surgery in February, and good news, the ear drum did not rupture! However, when I went back to the ENT at the end of February for my follow up hearing test, there was more bad news. In just six short months my left ear had gone from mild hearing loss to moderate hearing loss. This again meant that I needed a second hearing aid. I have now been wearing both hearing aids for about 3 weeks (6 months for the right hearing aid)
It is hard getting used to life with decreased hearing. The hardest is in crowded areas, such as the mall or grocery stores. I am slowly learning sign language. My hearing loss is called mixed hearing loss and it is progressive, meaning one day I will be profoundly deaf.
